Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is expanding access to medical imaging with the addition of Innisfil’s first Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner at the Rizzardo Health and Wellness Centre.
The new MRI will help bring care closer to home for patients and families across Innisfil and South Simcoe. Once operational, the scanner will allow RVH to provide nearly 4,000 additional MRI scans each year, helping improve access to diagnostic imaging and reduce wait times across the region.
To support the installation of the MRI, construction activity will begin May 25, 2026, and continue through December 2026. The project includes the addition of a prefabricated modular unit, which will be installed on the south side of the building adjacent to the existing RVH clinic space. Construction activity will take place primarily on the exterior of the building.
