Marriage Licence

Marriage Licence

The Town of Innisfil issues marriage licences and provides civil marriage ceremonies.

Marriage licence application

We've partnered with ServiceOntario to offer an online application system for marriage licences.

Apply online

To begin the process, complete your online application through ServiceOntario.

Apply for a marriage licence

After completing your application, we'll contact you with any questions and to book an appointment for you to pick up your marriage licence at Town Hall.

Apply in person

Bring a completed licence application form to Town Hall and two pieces of government-issued identification for each person getting married. You'll be contacted when your completed marriage licence is ready for pickup.

Civil marriage ceremonies

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! We offer civil marriage ceremony services for those looking for a simple, non-religious ceremony.

Request a civil marriage ceremony

We hold ceremonies at Town Hall within Council Chambers or outdoors at the outdoor gazebo. With arrangements made by the couple, our officiants can also attend private venues and residences. Contact us at clerksoffice@innisfil.ca or 705-436-3710 to book your date.

Marriage certificates

The document you receive at the ceremony is your Record of Solemnization of Marriage. It includes the couple's names, date of marriage and names of your witnesses, but it is not a marriage certificate or legal record.

Order a marriage certificate

You can order a marriage certificate after your ceremony, but it may take the Province up to 12 weeks to register your marriage.
