Depending on the location and land use of your property, you may not be able to cut down trees without approval from the Town of Innisfil or other regulating authorities. Please contact us to find out if there are any restrictions for tree removal on your property.

Removing trees from your property

Tree cutting is prohibited on any land that is subject to site plan control without prior approval from the Town. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Waterfront homes
  • Commercial properties
  • Industrial properties

County of Simcoe forest preservation 

If your property contains more than one hectare of woodlands, you'll be subject to the regulations in the County of Simcoe Forest Conservation By-law
