Innisfil ON – The Town of Innisfil, in partnership with the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, is inviting residents to the Week of Welcome event at the Lakeshore Branch (967 Innisfil Beach Road) on Thursday, September 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The evening will provide both newcomers and residents with the opportunity to learn more about local resources and the chance to get involved in their community.
"This local showcase is a fantastic opportunity to support the integration of newcomers and reinforce a sense of belonging in Innisfil," says Mayor Lynn Dollin. "We want to ensure that residents know who to go to, how to get involved, and ultimately feel supported as they settle into their community."
The open house will be a one-stop shop for residents to get acquainted with all that the community has to offer. Attendees will be able to connect with Town staff, social service agencies, first responders, and more. From employment, education, and healthcare, to volunteering, voting, and municipal matters, there’s something for everyone.
This family-friendly event will feature a mix of information and fun:
- Meet and Greet: Meet municipal and community partners to learn about local services and supports.
- Discover the Library: Get a library card and explore everything the Library has to offer.
- Treats and Games: Enjoy free treats and play life-size board games.
- Neighbour Connections: Meet other newcomers and residents in a welcoming, social space.
