Future park plans

Our Land and Lake Master Plan helps guide the future of parks, waterfront, and trails across Innisfil. Through extensive community feedback and data analysis, the plan recommends park improvements over time, when and where new parks should be built, and how this work should be funded.

Three key programs help implement the plan, including our:

  • New Development Parks Program: Plans for the design and construction of parks within new residential developments.
  • Lakeside Park Improvement Program: Converts public road ends along the Lake Simcoe shoreline into neighbourhood parks, with amenities ranging from picnic areas and beaches to docks and ice fishing access.
  • Annual Playground Replacement and Park Redevelopment Program: Aims to redevelop two existing parks per year to replace aging playground equipment, improve park accessibility and safety, and add new features.

Exact timelines and amenities are determined through the Town's budget process
