I began my journey with the Town of Innisfil in April 2024 as an Administrative Assistant with Innisfil Fire & Rescue Services (IFRS). Although my time with the Town has been relatively short and in one role, it has been a highly rewarding and valuable learning experience. In my role, I provide administrative support across the department, including support to the Fire Chief, Deputy Chiefs, Business Manager, Training Division, and Fire Prevention Team, while also coordinating with community groups on public education initiatives.

One accomplishment I’m particularly proud of is launching the quarterly IFRS Newsletter to enhance communication and engagement. I also had the opportunity to revive the IFRS Service Awards in November 2024, which was a meaningful experience. Currently, I am helping implement First Due, a new program that will improve operations and service delivery.

The Town’s strong focus on employee engagement stands out, with regular meetings, updates, and initiatives like Mugs & Muffins and staff socials that foster connection and appreciation across departments.
