As part of the Bayshore Road Drainage Improvements project, the Town of Innisfil is completing road improvements to Bayshore Road and nearby roadways. Work includes roadway and culvert replacements, ditch clear-outs and regrading, and road reconstruction. Upgrades to the existing outlet and construction of a new outlet at Bayshore Road Park will also take place.
Construction schedule
Full road closures are scheduled to begin on July 27. Residents may experience temporary disruptions, including driveways being temporarily restricted while heavy machinery passes or new asphalt is placed. Other disruptions may include noise, dust, and construction-related activities while crews are on site.
Road closures
The following road closures will be implemented in the project area:
- Bayshore Road (from Dempsey Street to Lakeshore Boulevard): July 27 to July 31, 2026
- Parkview Road (from Dempsey Street to Lakeshore Boulevard): Closed as of August 3, weather permitting
- Dempsey Street (from 2nd Line to Bayshore Road/Parkview Road): Closed as of August 10, weather permitting
- Wood Street (from Dempsey Street to road end): Closed as of August 10, weather permitting
- All roads are expected to be temporarily closed in late August for the application of base asphalt
Access will be maintained for local traffic, waste collection, and emergency services. Please drive with caution and follow detour signage.
