Unsolicited Applications
Pursuant to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 823, s. 5, unsolicited applications will be retained for a six (6) month period. The information provided on unsolicited applications may be used to determine eligibility for potential employment as opportunities arise. However, applicants are strongly encouraged to regularly check the Town’s current employment opportunities and to apply to specific positions of interest.
Volunteer Firefighters
The Town of Innisfil has a total of four (4) Fire Halls that provide Fire and Rescue services to the community. Human Resources will accept applications unsolicited for the position of Volunteer Firefighter pursuant to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Unsolicited applications received for the Volunteer Firefighter positions will be retained for a six (6) month to one (1) year period, as per section R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 823, s. 5 on the Act. Should an active competition arise during this time period, applications will be reviewed by the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief and the Human Resources Department.

Student Opportunities
The Town of Innisfil has a number of student positions that are available in both the summer and winter months. These positions are within a number of our service areas including Parks Recreation, and Facilities as well as Roads Services.
The Town also participates in the Co-operative Education program and has a variety of Co-op placements available to students. These opportunities are made available through educational institutions that offer Co-operative placements as a component of student development and learning. The Town does not post Co-operative opportunities directly on our webpage.
