Innisfil, ON – Many members of Innisfil/Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire and Rescue will be attending the funeral of South Simcoe Police Service Constables Northrup and Russell on October 20 to pay their respects. To ensure no disruption to public safety, fire and rescue coverage will be provided by:

  • Barrie Fire & Emergency Services
  • New Tecumseth Fire
  • Springwater Fire & Emergency Services
  • Essa Fire
  • Wasaga Beach Fire

Innisfil, ON – A funeral service for Constables Devon Northrup and Morgan Russell will be held at 11 a.m. on October 20 at the Sadlon Arena in Barrie, Ontario.

Members of the public are invited to observe the funeral procession as it travels from the Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Services Ltd. Innisfil, ON – Books of condolence have been placed at Innisfil Town Hall, 2101 Innisfil Beach Road, in the main lobby for anyone who wishes to extend notes of sympathy on the tragic deaths of South Simcoe Police Service officers Morgan Russell and Devon Northrup.

Notice of road closure - Highway 400/89

Innisfil, ON – The Town of Innisfil has received notification from Fermar Paving Ltd., the contractor completing the Highway 400 and 89 interchange, that demolition of the existing bridge on Highway 89 will occur on October 1 beginning at 8 p.m. which will result in a closure of both Highway 400 and a portion of Highway 89. This is an Ontario Ministry of Transportation project for the replacement of the bridge to improve the interchange and traffic flow.
