AED donation helps create safer soccer fields in Innisfil

Innisfil, ON – Last week, members of Innisfil Council celebrated the donation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to the community. AEDs are portable devices designed to provide life-saving treatment to individuals experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. The AED was supplied by the Chase McEachern Memorial Fund through a generous donation from Gateway Casinos Innisfil. The device is placed at the Innisfil Recreational Complex soccer fields.

Gilford Road from 20th Sideroad to Beach Road is being rehabilitated and widened. Work includes the installation of a multi-use pathway.
Construction scheduleThe Contractor (Georgian Paving) is scheduled to start on August 7, 2023. Road work is expected to be completed by November 3, 2023. Working hours are anticipated to be between 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Some work on Saturdays may be required.

Innisfil opens cooling stations due to heat warning

Innisfil, ON – Following the heat warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Town of Innisfil is opening cooling stations starting on Wednesday, July 26.
The cooling stations will be available at the following Innisfil ideaLAB & Library branches during operating hours until the heat warning has ended:
- Cookstown Branch - 20 Church Street
- Lakeshore (Alcona) Branch - 967 Innisfil Beach Road
- Stroud Branch - 7883 Yonge Street
